Program Overview
CTSMD “Captains” are vital to the success of our curriculum. The Captains will assist artistic teachers and directors both in the classroom setting AND during pre-production through production.
The Captains Program is open to any young adult or adult who is 16 years of age or older, and who has been vetted by Aly Cross and Bill Righter.
This program offers participants an opportunity to learn from and assist elite artistic educators and begin to build their own knowledge in Arts Education. In addition, being a Captain for CTSMD will give students the opportunity to earn community service or volunteer hours for credit towards a diploma or degree.
A volunteer “Captain” can expect to be hard at work, constantly learning about the performing arts and its importance for young people, while having an absolute BLAST! There will be especially sweet swag that each Captain will earn once he or she is accepted into the program, so bragging rights will also be in order
